Nate Hooper is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. Nate attended St. Mary's College in Moraga, CA for his B.S. in Psychology in May of 2001. He completed his Masters in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco in August of 2003.

Nate's first placement for counseling was at Contra Costa Alternative School (now Holden High) in Orinda, CA. He received vast experience in working with troubled and at risk teens and their families. After two years at CCAS, Nate then went to work at Family Stress Center located in Concord and Antioch, CA. There, Nate gained experience working with children, aged four and up, and with adult individuals and couples. Nate also attained experience working with victims of domestic violence, sexual and physical abuse, and drug abuse.

For about four years Nate worked at Covenant Counseling Services, located at First Covenant Church, working with clients with a variety of issues.  There, Nate received more experience working with parents of adolescents which has now become a specialty.  For two years Nate has also worked at the Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church Counseling Center with a similar client base.  Nate now has a private practice located in Fair Oaks.

Nate is currently a faculty member at the University of Phoenix.  He teaches for the undergraduate Human Services program, as well as the graduate Counseling Psychology (MFT) program.

Nate has guest taught at Western Seminary on two separate occasions discussing treatment planning for adolescents and integration, respectively.
